The Groundwork Handwriting System in 30 Minutes

Free online sessions: Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16, Thursday 17 & Wednesday 30 September

Online - ZOOM

Service Description

A free 30-minute guided tour of the whole Groundwork Handwriting System, live on Zoom: not one tool in isolation, but the complete system a school or a caseload would actually run. What the tour covers. The four-zone line system and the letter formation lexicon: one consistent spatial and verbal language from a child's first letter to their last. The letter formation animation deck in action: 52 letters with teacher and student prompts, built for whole-class teaching and targeted intervention. The scope and sequence: how the lined paper series fades its scaffolds as capacity grows, from colour-coded lines down to standard ruling, and how you decide where each student starts. A quick look through the GHS Resource Suite: the practice worksheet families, the ready-to-use PDFs, and the Word templates teachers customise themselves. And the GHS Worksheet Generator live: your own word list becomes a correctly formatted handwriting sheet in your state's print font (built in ACT/NSW, QLD, SA and VIC). The tour is quick by design; GHS Core is where it goes deep. The professional learning covers the research, teaching methods, and clinical reasoning behind everything above, and includes the full Resource Suite. Participants will leave the training with a range of resources, ready to use the next day. Four Term 4 cohorts are now open with an early-bird discount: firstot.com.au/groundwork. For classroom teachers, learning support staff, occupational therapists, and allied health practitioners. Time for questions; no preparation needed. Places are limited so the session stays conversational. Book any one of the four sessions. The times above are shown in your device's local time; start times for every state and territory: firstot.com.au/session-times. The three GHS research briefs are free to everyone, no sign-up needed, at firstot.com.au/research.

Cancellation Policy

Transfers and refunds: More than 14 days before your cohort’s main session: Transfer to another available cohort, substitute an eligible participant, or take a full refund. 14 to 5 days before the main session: Substitution only. Your place is held in a capped cohort and may not reasonably be resold, so transfers and refunds are closed. Fewer than 5 days before the main session: The registration stands and cannot be transferred, substituted or refunded. Non-attendance is treated the same way, and any materials included with the booking are still provided. If we cancel or reschedule: a place in a comparable cohort, or a full refund, whichever you prefer. All timeframes are calendar days, and the main session is the first scheduled session of your booked cohort. If something serious happens, contact James; exceptional circumstances are considered in good faith. The full Professional Learning Terms and Conditions apply and are displayed at this checkout.
